Consider, for example, that most public hospitals in the Philippines do not offer psychological services. This is in part due to lack of budget, inadequate facilities, and lack of professionals to provide such services.
There are, nonetheless, private practitioners who manage to fill up this void in public hospitals. The problem, however, is that most private practitioners are either swamped with clients so much so that it's hard to set up an immediate appointment with them or they charge exorbitant fees beginning at P4,000 or a little less than USD100.
This fact becomes more poignant when looking for clinics to take a psychological test for pre-employment.
