All you Lazada shopaholics, listen up!
Following President Rodrigo Duterte's declaration on March 16, 2020, placing the entire island of Luzon in an enhanced community quarantine to stem the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country, online shopping giant Lazada has announced that it is temporarily suspending its logistics operations in the Philippines.
Lazada, one of the leading shopping apps in the Philippines, tells its customers that "extended delivery delays are expected" with the end in view of "better facilitat[ing] fast deliveries and for the safety and well-being of its customers and staff."
Further, the online shopping app temporarily suspends cash on delivery payment option. This means buyers would have to pay for their purchases online either through the use of credit or debit cards or through other means such as Lazada Wallet.
For those buying groceries online, Lazada's groceries service, LazMart, will continue to run with logistics operations.
